  1. Get 3 cups Leftover idli batter
  2. Take 1/2 cup beetroot grated
  3. Get 1 carrot grated
  4. Make ready 1 big onion
  5. Take 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  6. Take Handful coriander leaves
  7. Make ready 2-3 green chillies finely chopped
  8. Get 1 sprig curry leaves
  9. Make ready Oil as required
  10. Take to taste Pink Salt
Instructions to make #Beetroot_appe:
  1. I made with d leftover idli batter. Pour the batter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add d grated beetroot, carrot & ginger,green chillies,curry leaves,onion,coriander leaves & pink salt and mix well.
  3. Heat a appe mould on low flame,brush oil in each groove and pour d batter in each grooves & drizzle a little amount of oil in each holes. Cover with a steam releasing lid and let it cook for 5-7mins.
  4. Remove d lid and see d upper layer is dried then flip on to d other side (without lid) cook for 20-25 seconds
  5. Beetroot appe are ready to serve. Accompanied by coconut chutney or Ginger chutney or it goes well wdh sauce too. Enjoy this healthy Savory dish….within no time…wdh d leftover batter..
